Zorzees Version 3.0

All of us at Zorzees are welcoming 2025 with a brand new Version of our software, version 3.0! This major release includes these large features:

Core
  1. New “Community” module! A private social media platform specifically designed for Zorzees multi-unit brands. The Home Office can communicate just with the Home Office, while Area Developers and franchisees communicate with each other. More general open communities help facilitate the sharing of photos and other information across their brand. It’s an exciting feature to help facilitate cross-unit communication and sharing of successes.
  2. Alerts for Community posts. Emails will be sent to community members when a new post is approved by the moderator, or the posts can be auto-approved and sent to all community members. Comments appear immediately to encourage engagement. Users are auto-joined to private communities, and then they can join any other communities where they want to receive email alerts.
  3. Manage notification preferences. Users can now manage notification preferences on their Zorzees profile to choose which emails they want to receive from Zorzees. The corporate office chooses which emails are mandatory and which can be opted-out by the users. Online communities work a little differently — for these, users can choose whether they want to receive email updates when posts are published or not. By default, all community members will be opted in to email alerts.
  4. New panel for all users. Many beta users have been using the panel interface, but we will now be enabling this for all Zorzees brands. Any time a user clicks a unit, contact or lead, the information will open in our panel interface instead of the previous “administrator” screens. These panels also received some minor design updates.
  5. Client Unit IDs on profiles and grids. Each unit a user is associated with now appears on the user’s profile tab and as a column under the Contacts tab.
  6. URLs for panel tabs. Now, any panel user can copy/paste the URL for each tab they are viewing in Zorzees and send it to another user to view the panel directly. It’s fast and easy!

  1. Button from email opens panel tab directly. Clicking the button in a Zorzees email will now take open the prospect’s panel directly in Zorzees, saving a few clicks for all users.
  2. Set lead owner when adding leads. Any user adding a lead can change the lead owner when they add the lead so it is assigned to someone else instead of themselves.
Build + Open
  1. New “Retake Course” button for online courses. Now, Zorzees users can retake an online course whenever they want. Online courses no longer needs to be taken AFTER the certificate expires, but users can be proactive and take it before the certificate expires to earn a new certificate. Of course, each completion certificate is recorded on the learner’s profile tab.
Grow + Earn
  1. New “Performance” tab. View each spa’s performance against the brand KPIs in a new set of embedded reports from Zorzees partner Fran Metrics. Blow your franchise system away by giving them real-time benchmarking data against everyone else. View unit scorecards, dashboards, and more.
  2. Access royalties + ACH transactions in panel. For clients using Zorzees for royalty calculation and collection, both the royalty and the ACH tabs have moved to the new panel interface instead of the admin interface. User history and Learning Progress are next. 🙂
  3. New sub tabs for royalties/ACH. The layout of the royalties/ACH tabs have changed to make it easier to understand transaction history, view banks, and initiate any new ACH one-off transactions.
  4. ACH enrollment via panel. Now, the entire ACH enrollment process is handled in the panel, making it even easier for franchisees and Area Developers to enroll their banks.

2025 is set to be phenomenal year for Zorzees, and we look forward to bringing all of our clients new features with full integration into AI to help automate their franchise operations by reducing the number of questions and support required from the home office. Zorzees Version 2.23

Version 2.23 of Zorzees is our third major release of the year and includes three large sets of features that have topped our feature list for some time:

  1. Searching ACROSS Resources! This has been the largest request from our user base for a long time, and we’ve implemented a blazing fast search engine to provide our users exactly what they need, when they need it.
  2. New Resource Home Page. Our new Knowledge Base style resources area makes navigating a set of resources a breeze. Search up top for anything you need, or pick a category and view your items in a list.
  3. 2-Way SMS for Franchise Sales Prospects. In addition to scheduled outbound drip SMS messages, our platform now provides the ability to send 2-way SMS messages so lead owners can quickly reply to any prospect immediately with their own custom Zorzees phone number.

    2. Standardized placeholder text color on panels.
    3. New ability to embed any editable Google document type into a Resource for collaboration (Calendar, Sheet, Docs, etc.)

    6. New time-saving feature to edit a shareholder’s profile detail directly from the business entity, instead of going to their profile.

    1. Fixed issue where FDD pop-up window was not appearing for users in role of employee who want to sign an FDD.
    2. Fixed issue where Z phones were not being created in some cases for SMS users.
    3. Removed double FDD data rows.
    4. Fixed issue where Business Entity was not attached to the application when saved on a prospect.

    1. New Resource home page in a Knowledge Base style with icons and description per resource category.
    2. Search across resources — not just filtering an existing resource.
    3. Laid technical foundation for aggregating employee course reporting on the panel for franchisees and managers.
    4. User AI to create a course outline on the fly, and auto-create the associated lessons to save you time.
  2. Bug Fixes
    1. Temporarily could not attach banks when enrolling via Plaid.
    2. Fix bug where Expand All was broken on the course list.
    3. Fixed issue where spinner was not appearing when searching for users to add/remove for online courses.

    1. Quickly view user profile from emails when certifications are expired.
    2. Standardized the layout of employees and managers on the Staff tab in the panel.
    3. Integrated new community section as a potential landing page and communication platform for clients.

    1. Fixed bug where searching by name was broken when assigning individual users to courses.

Zorzees Version 2.22

Our second release of the year brings a number of subtle enhancements to our panels to make saving data faster and easier. Additionally, we’ve set the stage for clients managing and configuring their own core notifications and the building blocks for Resources 2.0, a set of features which will provide one of the most requested features from all users — search across resources. This is feature is around the corner! Additionally release 2.22 provides a number of bug fixes.

    1. Online courses can now be set to expire after 365 days of the learner earning their certificate, making it much easier for administrators since they do not have to reassign required courses.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed HTML characters being displayed in some cases.
  • Fixed issue where “New FDD for You” message appeared for some lead owners.
  • Hid option to exclude some content from search results — all is excluded by default.
  • Changed default configuration for email server and sender email address to prevent any delivery flagging issues.

  • Improved performance by up to 50% when saving applications.

Franchise + Sell

  • Optimized prospect flow so that FDD intro, FDD receipt and confirmation page load 50%+ faster — with further optimizations coming to bring this load time under 2 seconds in nearly all cases.
  • Added new alert for parsed leads that include an attempt to send an FDD to a prospect in an unapproved area — will now alert the Lead Owner that the FDD did not send to the prospect because they are in an unapproved state.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed edge case for accessing approved FDDs.

Zorzees Version 2.14.1

Over the coming weeks we expect a number of rapid releases as we fine-tune performance of our backend systems and increase our product speed. There’s no reason to hold back these benefits from all of you!

Core Product Enhancements

  • Performance improvements: Backend changes to optimize updating data in the product.
  • For clients utilizing the Unit Name field, this field is now accessible as a linked column on our main reporting screens. It will take you directly to that unit’s information: deal, timelines, checklists, deadlines… you name it!

Operate + Inspect

  • Removed the limit on adding employees and managers for our training modules. Now, it’s unlimited learners for every unit.

Bug Fixes

  • First + last name was missing in some cases on the Contacts tab in reporting.
  • Pinning columns in reporting was not failing gracefully — now looks good when client data is not populated.
  • Fixed issue where MS Edge was not allowing employees to be added to Staff page.

Zorzees Version 2.14

These are exciting times in the remote offices of Zorzees these days as our team works tirelessly to bring the next iteration of our platform to life. Our new interface is bound to save users plenty of timing managing their franchise information, and we’ve been able to include a few extra features in other modules as well. Version 2.14 released today includes minor enhancements:

Core Product Enhancements

  • Enhanced the Billing section to provide additional information about our monthly services to our clients.
  • The Request Appointment functionality is enhanced to capture 10 more fields for brands looking to give their franchisees a way to pull in end customer prospects.

Franchise + Sell

  • Clients using the beta version of our panels can now send the FDD directly from the panel!

Build + Open

  • Recruiting module now includes fields for job summary, responsibilities/duties, and qualifications/skills.
  • Recruiting module now includes configurable fields for catching additional candidate information from job candidates.

Grow + Earn

  • The performance on initiating one-time ACH transactions is dramatically improved.

Bug Fixes

  • Saving new social profiles was temporarily disabled and can now be saved again.
  • The performance on the Reporting page when searching for data was slow; issue identified and fixed.
  • The Open Deadline field for units was not populating in some reporting screens; issue fixed.

Zorzees Version 2.13

Performance is the name of the game in version 2.13 of our platform. We sped up our Reporting screens with more performance enhancements coming in Q1 2023. Version 2.13 was packed with other small enhancements and bug fixes below. We hope to see you at the IFA conference in Las Vegas in February!

Core Product Enhancements

  • Added numerous headings on units and locations to make identifying content easier — this will be very important as we roll more clients on to the beta version of our software.
  • Further enhanced beta panels by dedicating notes in the right column.
  • Added merge tag to immediately view profile for notifications to profile updates.
  • Zees and area developers can now access their units’ employee profiles
  • Changed “info” to “summary” for units to more accurately reflect what the tab is.
  • Increased default font size on Reporting page.
  • Further automated billing to provide details around monthly invoices.
  • Added onboarding checklists for internal users.

  • Now allowing no default lead owner for areas, meaning the brand’s default lead owner will be used in any case where a lead owner is not specified.

Grow + Earn

  • Removed ability for zees to Disconnect their business from ACH — will require franchisor granting.
  • For clients using Booker as POS, set up alerts for any disconnected servers.
  • Clarified document requirements when enrolling a business in ACH payments — some require JPG, some require PDF.
  • Automated failed ACH fee on a per transaction basis.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue where download icons were not enabled as links on Operations pages.
  • Fixed issue where franchise news was not accessible by both news list links.
  • Fixed layout issue of franchising progress bar for “Let’s Talk” step.
  • Removed irrelevant “publish” box on Payments page.
  • Corrected Dwolla time stamps on ACH enrollments to be client-centric.
  • Fixed bug where revenue reports were beginning at calendar year start date instead of first date of actual revenue.
  • Fixed issue where royalties could not be recalculated from the unit page in some cases.
  • Fixed issue where responsive grids were not laying out correctly.

Zorzees Version 2.12

The theme for this pre-holiday release is streamlining operations. We included a number of internal enhancements to make it easier to manage our clients’ billing, which leaves more time to help with anything else they need. Have a great rest of 2022 everyone, and we will see you in 2023!

Core Product Enhancements

  • We now have the capability to provide invoice summaries by invoice category, making it much easier to understand any bills.
  • All pages from our reporting screen now launch with the same browser tab to simplify the user experience.
  • Unit owner phone numbers and email address are now available as exportable columns in our reporting instead of viewing the phone/email on the profiles or contact screens.
  • We released a beta version of our new user panels — this is the future of our software — and we are ecstatic to open up the functionality to a few friendly clients.
  • Document uploads to any part of the product can now trigger email alerts to anyone. This was available previously, but we now provide more granular control over which documents can trigger alerts and who can receive them.

  • We added franchisee as a referral lead source.

Grow + Earn

  • Plaid Integration — we released an integration with banking authentication provider Plaid. It is now even easier for clients to enroll their businesses in ACH payments and directly sync up their bank accounts through our technology. Simply select your bank and provide your credentials on our Plaid interface — Plaid does the rest to bring in all of your account information. You then select which account to use for payment transfers.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue where incorrect user data was being pulled in on some history tabs.
  • Added line breaks to support ticket requests.
  • The merchant ID is now validating for clients using Mind and Body’s Booker POS system.
  • Our guided product tours were disabled temporarily due to an integration upgrade that was pending — this is now live and tours are back.
  • Exporting reports as CSV’s are now preserving column order and showing owner names instead of IDs.
